Welcome to Belle Meade

A timeless city rich in Southern history.
Founded in the early 1800s when John Harding purchased a single log cabin and a mere 250 acres of land, it now sits in the sophisticated and wealthy city of Belle Meade. The original estate quickly grew to amass more than 5,400 acres and included a Greek Revival mansion, home to a Thoroughgood breeding farm, where the Belle Meade Plantation now sits. The plantation is open for tours and consists of a museum, winery, and restaurant. In addition to the rich history, residents enjoy many shopping and dining options nearby at the Belle Meade Plaza and neighboring cities.
The residential areas are full of grand, luxurious homes in a mix of styles, including contemporary, traditional, and Cape Cod on sprawling lots. Well-manicured lawns and meticulous landscaping showcase pride-of-ownership. Friends and neighbors can walk around the blocks, gather for block parties, and enjoy the Belle Meade Country Club and its many amenities.
