The peaceful and tight-knit community feel with easy access to larger cities make this a highly sought-after place to call home.

Welcome to Oak Hill

A mostly residential town in Davidson County, Tennessee.
The history of this wealthy town dates back to the 1790s, when John Overton established a horse-breeding farm in the area. Oak Hill is rich in history, especially Civil War history, as it is home to the Battle of Nashville. The Glen Leven Estate, which was built in 1857 and used as a field hospital during the war, still stands at more than 150 years old. It wasn’t until 1952, after World War II, that Oak Hill became an established city that is primarily residential, with no businesses allowed to operate within city limits. This means you won’t find tons of shopping and dining around town, but rather a peaceful and quiet small-town feeling.
Due to the residential nature of the area and the lack of businesses, you’ll find plenty of natural beauty surrounding you here. The homes in the area are situated on large lots with plenty of mature trees and are surrounded by rolling hills and greenery. You’ll find plenty of new construction homes that are large and gracious mixed with smaller, charming cottages. The peaceful and tight-knit community feel with easy access to larger cities make this a highly sought-after place to call home.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
